Hamilton Diluters and Dispensers

What is the MICROLAB 600 used for?

Every laboratory has tasks that are too small for automatisation, but too extensive for reliable management by hand. The semiautomatic liquid handler is the suitable device for such applications. The 600 increases throughput and consistency at low cost and with less wasted buffer. Important fields using the ML 600 include:

  • Forensic Analysis
  • Environmental Analysis
  • Mining
  • Production
  • And many others…

Your advantages with MICROLAB 600

Traditional pipets working with pneumatic replacement are sensitive to changes of temperature, air pressure, and liquid viscosity. Volumetric glassware is expensive and can only be used with high manual labor costs. The MICROLAB 600 is the solution to these problems.

  • Time and money saving sample preparation
  • Standardization of processes results in higher accuracy across different users
  • Qualification according to EPA, FDA (GLP, GMP) and ISO simplified
  • Calibration traceable to N.I.S.T Standard

Hamilton ML 600 Diluters

Precise Semi-Automated Dilutions

Microlab 600 Diluters are highly precise syringe pumps with a graphical user interface designed to quickly and easily dilute and dispense liquids. This positive displacement system provides better than 99 % accuracy, independent of a liquid’s viscosity, vapor pressure and temperature. The inert fluid path minimizes sample carry over and improves compatibility with harsh chemicals.

Dilution with a Disposable Tip

Protect Your Samples from Contamination

For biological samples where cells are cultured or DNA is amplified a disposable tip may be preferred. In this case the sample is aspirated and dispensed using the disposable tip which is then discarded prior to dispensing the diluent.

Hamilton ML 600 Single, Dual, and Continuous Reagent Dispensers

A MICROLAB 600 configured as a double syringe diluter can dilute by a ratio of 1:50000 in a single step. This significantly reduces preparation time and buffer consumption. After each sample, the tubing is flushed with diluent. This avoids sample carryover even for the most sensitive applications, e.g. for:

  • Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy
  • Mass Spectrometry with Inductively Coupled Plasma
  • Liquid Scintillation Counting
  • High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
  • Gas Chromatography (GC)

Single Syringe Dispensers

The Single Syringe Dispenser is the lowest cost system with one dedicated syringe pump for medium throughput dispensing applications. Precision stepper motors automatically refill the syringe from a reservoir considerably improving speed and accuracy compared to traditional laboratory equipment like serological and repeating pipettes.

Dual Syringe Dispensers

The Dual Syringe Dispenser features two syringe pumps, enabling versatile applications such as simultaneous dispensing into two containers, increasing volume or speed by using both syringes for a single dispense, creating binary mixtures with customizable ratios, and performing dilution and sample spiking separately for precise liquid handling.

Continuous Dispensers

The Continuous Dispenser is designed for time critical applications requiring repetitive dispensing. One syringe fills while the other syringe dispenses so the instrument is always ready. Perfect for integration into semi-automated or fully automated manufacturing lines.
